About ESD Consultants
Simplifying energy compliance for Australian building projects.
Our Mission
Energy compliance in Australia is complicated. Every state has different rules, different star rating requirements, and different assessment processes. Whether you need a NatHERS assessment in Victoria, a BASIX certificate in NSW, or a Section J report for a commercial fitout in Queensland, the requirements can be overwhelming.
That’s exactly why we exist.
ESD Consultants is a referral service that connects homeowners, builders, developers, and architects with ESD consultants and energy assessors across Australia. We cut through the confusion and match you with the right professional for your specific project.
How We Work
Our process is simple and free:
- Tell us about your project — location, building type, and what assessment you need.
- We pass your enquiry to a consultant who does the kind of assessment you need, and who you can check before you book.
- Get your report or certificate — the consultant completes the work and delivers your documentation.
What to Check Before You Book
Before you book, check the consultant's accreditation with the relevant body, such as ABSA (Association of Building Sustainability Assessors) for NatHERS assessments, NABERS for NABERS ratings, or the Green Building Council of Australia for Green Star. Ask for a certificate of currency for their professional indemnity insurance and about their experience with your assessment type.
Services We Cover
We connect you with consultants who provide:
- NatHERS Assessments — Residential energy ratings for new builds, renovations, and existing homes
- BASIX Certificates — NSW-specific sustainability compliance for building approvals
- Section J Reports — Commercial building NCC energy efficiency compliance
- JV3 Assessments — Alternative commercial compliance through thermal modelling
- NABERS Ratings — Energy and sustainability ratings for existing commercial buildings
- Green Star Certification — Comprehensive sustainability rating for buildings and communities
- Energy Audits — Detailed energy performance analysis for homes and commercial buildings
- ESD Reports — Environmentally Sustainable Design reports for planning applications
Important Disclaimer
ESD Consultants is a referral service run by Loudachris Digital Marketing, an Adelaide marketing business. We pass your enquiry to a local business that does the work, and that business may pay us a fee. We do not hold ABSA, NABERS, or any other professional accreditation and do not perform energy assessments, prepare certificates, or conduct audits ourselves. The consultant you engage carries out the professional work, so check their accreditation and professional indemnity insurance before you book.
